As you already know, bakpao is a food made from flour dough which is then filled with filling to enrich the taste. The word bakpao itself is a combination of the words 'bak' which means meat and 'pao' which means wrap or skin made of flour dough.
Some of you may think that making dumplings is quite difficult. However, there is another technique to make more meatballs, namely without the need for a kneading process. Of course, you can make your own buns easily at home.

Bakpao Recipe Without Kneading
Bakpao is certainly a food that is no stranger to its existence in our midst. The delicacy of the bun with its soft and dense texture and various flavors make it a favorite of many. Nada, of course, can easily find dumplings for sale in various places, but there's nothing wrong if you make your own balpao at home with a very easy method like in the following recipe!
Materials
- 200 grams of all-purpose flour
- 40 grams of margarine
- 110 ml liquid
- 1 tablespoon of liquid sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon yeast

Prepare a small skillet or pan and then melt the margarine, liquid milk, and sugar until all the ingredients are dissolved. Remove and leave until the temperature is lukewarm.

Once warm, add yeast and mix well. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes bubbly which is a sign that the yeast is working well.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt until evenly distributed then add the yeast mixture and mix again using a spatula.

Repeat the process of kneading the dough using and after it is smooth enough shape the dough into a round.

Cover the dough with a clean cloth or cloth for about an hour.

After an hour, the dough will have doubled in size. Deflate by hand and then cut into 8 or 10 pieces according to your taste.

Round the dough that has been divided earlier, cover again with a clean cloth and let stand for 15 minutes.

Prepare the steamer until hot.

Flatten the bakpao dough then give the filling and then close it. Give a parchment paper base that has been cut into pieces according to the size of the bun. Leave it for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, put the bakpao le mixture in the steamer and steam for about 15 minutes. Cover the lid of the steamer with a cloth so the water doesn't wet the dough.

Turn off the heat after 15 minutes then let the dumplings sit in the steamer for 5 minutes.

Serve while warm.
Bakpao is very suitable to be used as a heavy snack or food to delay hunger because of its dense texture. With the recipe above, of course you can easily make your own meatballs at home without any hassle. In addition, you can also modify the appearance of the buns by adding food coloring to make it look more attractive and using a variety of raw materials for the filling.
