Korean Style Jeongol Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 cm ginger, crushed
  • 2 red chilies, seeds removed, thinly sliced
  • 2 green chilies, seeds removed, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 200 g green mussels, wash clean
  • 300 g squid, remove the skin and ink, wash and cut into pieces
  • 150 grams of medium-sized shrimp, then peeled, then set aside the skin and head to make broth
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 125 g chicory, then cut into pieces
  • 150 g white tofu, then cut into 2 cm cubes

  • 3 tbsp deonjang
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 12 pieces of tofu scallops
  • 50 g dashima, soak until soft, then drain 
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1½ L water
  • 1 scallion

  1. The first step is to make it preheat the oil then saute the ginger and garlic.
  2. Then add red chilies, gochujang and deonjang then stir until evenly distributed
  3. Next, add the prawn heads, shells, dashima and tofu shells. Cook until everything changes color
