  • 35 grams of sugar
  • 50 ml coconut milk from 1/4 coconut
  • 1 pandan leaf
  • 1/8 teaspoon taro essence
  • 25 grams of medium protein flour

How to Make Soft and Delicious Taro Bakpao

How to Make the Stuffing:

  1. For the first, please clean the taro first from the dirt that is still attached. Next take the taro to the laundry and clean it with running water. Also clean the soil or dirt attached to the taro flesh. Next, lift when it is clean and set aside temporarily.
  2. Cut the taro using a knife and put it in the steamer to then steam this material evenly until it is soft and evenly cooked.
  3. Remove the taro from the steamer and add it with salt, sugar and pandan leaves. Stir all these ingredients and blend evenly.
  4. Then, slowly pour the coconut milk into it little by little. Then stir again until all these ingredients are evenly mixed.

How to Make Bakpao Ingredients:

  1. To make dumplings, please prepare a container and pour it into flour along with baking powder, milk powder, instant yeast and powdered sugar. Stir all these ingredients until evenly distributed.
  2. Pour ice water into it slowly and little by little. Add with purple coloring and knead this material until smooth and the dough turns purple in color.
